Artist Biography

Kimberly Jones is an Osage and Cherokee Artist that also has some Irish Roots with many artists in the family that include ceramist, contemporary artists, and political cartoonists. Studying multimedia art and art history, she chose painting as her medium, because of the freedom of color and movement the paint provides. Where she keeps her subjects historic in nature to the tribe, she loves to express those subjects in an impressionistic style with a bold twist, bringing the art into the modern designs of today. Her paintings are symbols to what not only makes the history of the tribe, but serve as a reminder of what makes the tribe strong in their values. Of course she believes this has to be done with bold colors and flare. Her paintings can be seen throughout the Osage Casino and Hotels, along with other properties and private collectors. The most notable are the series,”The Million Dollar Elm Tree”, with 4 in the Osage Collection and “The Warrior Horse” with 6 in the series.
